Industrea scores coal mining equipment contracts worth $7.5 million

INDUSTREA has announced the signing of another $7.5 million worth of coal mining equipment contracts as the company strives to meet the demands of China’s expanding industry.

Building on its strong established relationship with Chinese coal miner Inner Mongolia Yitai Coal, Industrea subsidiary, Wadam Industries will supply four Australian-built Industrea Mining Equipment (IME) high productivity 40 tonne longwall roof support carriers for a total value of $5 million.

An additional $2.5 million worth of contracts for the supply of spare equipment have been signed with Beijing Huajin Wanshun Machinery and Jincheng Mining, proving the value of Industrea’s recently established product support centre in China and its capacity to deliver new and recurring revenue streams.

Industrea Managing Director and CEO, Robin Levison, says the latest contracts are further validation of the company’s commitment to the Chinese market, and its partnership with the leading producers in boosting productivity and safety across the industry.

Levison says Industrea is leveraged to the growth in China’s underground coal industry, and the recent contract wins secured against top international competition show the group’s ability to compete with its ‘best of breed’ products.
